December 21, 2010 Winter Solstice Meditation
This full moon is an especially significant one. Not only does it fall on the winter solstice but it will also coincide with the first full lunar eclipse in 372 years.
As many of you know the winter solstice is the date that marks the shortest day of the year, but it also marks the end of darkness and the return of light. For many ancient cultures the winter solstice was the beginning of the New Year.
This year we saw many interesting things happening astrologically. The most significant being the Grand Cardinal Cross this summer. A Grand Cardinal cross is not unusual but this one was because of THE planets involved. Some astrologers were calling this the event – the actual 2012.
The angels have been telling me that 2012 is a mark in time like a birthday. We are currently living through the ushering in of a new age; Humanity’s return to feminine energy. It will be like the embodyment of the Empress card in the Tarot deck. Like a birthday, we don’t simply turn our new age at midnight on our birthday; we ARE turning that age all year long. So Deemberc 21, of 2012 is nothing more than the mark in time when we are entering that age, but we are entering that new age for many years before that and many years after it. However, we can think of this December 21 like the clock turning midnight on the date of our birthday. It is the beginning of the mark in time. So it is significant and the stars and planets are also telling us that by their alignment and the uniqueness of this particular solstice. The energies that we will be experiencing today will be significant.
So... it is a good time to do a meditation! To clear your mind and your soul and to set your goals and intentions for the New Year.
